The City of Kyle invites the community to share in the town’s birthday celebration at the annual Founders’ Parade on Saturday, Oct. 10, starting at 11 a.m. The town of Kyle was platted and the first lots sold sometime around the 15th of October, 1880.

Viewing the Parade:
The best locations to view the Founders Day Parade are along the parade route in the La Verde District. The parade will begin on Burnham Drive, travel east on Doherty Drive, and continue north on Cromwell Avenue, ending at East Avenue A. To help keep everyone safe, attendees are asked to remain on sidewalks or designated grassy areas and avoid entering the roadway while the parade is in progress.

Detour & Parade Route:
The Founders Day Parade will take place in the La Verde District, beginning on Burnham Drive, traveling east on Doherty Drive, and continuing north on Cromwell Avenue before ending at East Avenue A. Burnham Drive, Doherty Drive, and Cromwell Avenue along the parade route will be closed to traffic during the event. Road closures will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will reopen as soon as the parade concludes. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes to avoid delays.

Float Contest:
All are welcome to participate in the 2026 Founders' Parade Float Contest. Participants are encouraged to decorate their floats to showcase their interpretation and representation of Kyle while keeping all displays family-friendly. The top two entries will be recognized following the parade.
